Pricing and Guarantees at Quellen German Shepherds

Our price for puppies is $1500 - $2500, depending on the Sire.

All of our puppies are sold on a non-breeding contract. This contract can be cancelled at a later date if the following conditions are met:

  • The dog must be at least 24 months of age and have both hips and elbows x-rayed and be free of dysplsia.
  • The dog must be free of genetic health problems.
  • The cost of cancelling the contract is $500 to be paid to the breeder at the time of cancellation.

This non-breeding contract is designed to mostly protect the breed, and to ensure that only the dogs that will help enhance this awesome breed are used for breeding purposes. It also helps the buyer because they are paying pet prices for their puppy and they can wait until it is an adult and see how it turns out before paying the extra amount usually charged for show or breeding dogs.

All the puppies come with a written guarantee for hip or elbow dsyplsia or inherited health problems. A replacement pup is offered if your pup has an inherited medical condition that greatly reduces it's quality of life.

We operate on a first come first service basis. We require a $250 deposit to reserve a pup. If we are not able to provide a healthy puppy of the sex reserved from the upcoming litter, the deposit will be returned or the buyer may choose to forward it to the next litter.

I rescue my own dogs. Occasionly, we will have older dogs to place because their owners were unable to keep them. If for some reason you are no longer able to keep your dog, I need to be notified and must approve of any home it goes to.

Dog-breeding must be the work of the dog lover, and cannot be a profession, as in the case of other animals, and a means of acquiring bread and butter. If it once becomes that, then it will be dog-dealing, that has nothing more to do with serious dog breeding
